Bake Sale: October 21st, 2011 |
Laura Fortune is a student in the Small Medium Enterprise course at Algonquin College and as part of her Project Management class Laura will be hosting a charity fundraiser; all proceeds raised go to the Cameron Smith foundation. Laura writes...
I was in Cameron’s grade 8 class, and still to this day I think about him regularly. He was an amazing friend and classmate. So naturally when I was told proceeds were going to charity, the Cameron Smith foundation instantly came to mind. I was active in the Kanata Hockey community for a number of years and even played in the first Cameron Smith Memorial game. The bake sale details are as follows - we welcome and encourage your support of Laura's efforts by attending in her Bake Sale. Location: Algonquin college, in building C (main building) in front of the registrar’s office, Date: Friday October 21. Time: between the hours of 12-3 (depending on how much is sold) on Update: I'm pleased to report that Laura's bake sale was a huge success - raising $216.60 for her one day event. Thanks to everyone who participated, provided bake goods, or were able to attend.
